Since many years, Google has become one of the most important online companies in the world that offer various services. Usually whatever service being offered by Google almost always could dominate the market. Google advertising is definitely one of the most popular services offered by this giant corporation. The fact that Google is currently the largest search engine on the internet makes Google an ideal place to place your ad. With up to 80% of internet users from all over the world accessing Google every single day, the chance for your business to get maximum exposure with Google marketing is open wide.

Basically there are two services created by Google that relate to online advertisement, Google AdWords and Google AdSense. Here are some details about these two products:

Google AdWords

When you search on Google, you will see two columns. The left column displays results from the organic search, which means these are the list of websites that are considered relevant by Google’s search algorithm to be displayed based on the keywords entered by the user. While on the right side you will see a list of sites with a heading “Sponsored Listing or Sponsored Ads”. These are the list of sites displayed by Google AdWords. So this is where your ad will be displayed when you use Google AdWords, but this is not the only place where people can see your ad. Your ad will also appear on various websites on the pages that are considered relevant, this includes famous news and media websites, and other popular sites.

Google AdWords run on Pay Per Click basis, which means you only pay when someone clicks on your ad that will take him or her to your website. So that means you only pay when the ad actually generates traffic for you.

When you setup your Google AdWords account you will have to provide the required details. You better provide these details carefully so that you can maximize the performance of your ad campaign. Do some research and try to find information on how to improve the performance of your Google Ad.

Google AdSense

When you visit a website you will often see textual and visual ads that say “Ads by Google” on the corner. These are the ads from Google AdSense. As the advertiser, you will have to pay to Google when someone clicks on your ad, but at the same time, the website owner also got paid by Google because the ad is place on his or her website. Basically any website owner could register to Google AdSense free of charge. Google will provide a unique code to the website owner so the website can display Google Ads. The ads will appear on the website automatically and only those ads that are relevance to the website content to make sure that the ads could actually generate targeted traffic.

Website owners who have Google AdSense on their websites usually will work hard so their websites can generate enough traffic, therefore they could get a lot of ad clicks. The more visitors clicking on Google Ads on their websites the more money they could generate from Google.
